Final Concepts...

These are the best of several tests I have ran for my most ongoing project. I must say I am satisfied with these results. I have yet to establish shot angles that will help drive the narrative as well as finding the right texture filters to aid with the consistency of this piece. On a personal note this has got to be one of the most exciting experiences for me in playing with digital media. Never have I felt a profound rush of enjoyment pulling and tugging polygons to replicate somewhat gothic architecture. While playing with these 3 dimensional pieces I can envision the scale, color, texture that will be placed in. It is only a few hours from now that I will be finishing up with the last few sets then it is render time/ 2D animation and compositing. I am also happy to say that the render times have clocked at 20 to 30 seconds per frame. Well that leaves me to call in a couple of favors now.

Chiarosquirrel, Summer Arts 11

These are the works I have done from the CSU Summer Arts 11.

Loves of My Life, Ecorhes

I remember the time when I had first delved into learning about the Human Anatomy. It such a complex monstrosity, staring at countless groups of muscles and tendons. The human skin was just like the bed cloth covering the bulging pillows from beneath. Slopes and curves, angles and protrusions, proportions and symmetry all would have me tangled in a mess of excitement and frustration. For countless years I have spent studying examples from my friends, who had a stronger knowledge of the human figure, to the Great Masters. I have tried many methods in order to supplement my learning of figurative anatomy. Of the many goals I had on My Life's checklist, one of them was to become as knowledgeable as the Great Masters. What drew me to this  goal was looking at the works of Frank Frazetta and Caravaggio. I thought that never could the human body could be replicated in a way with such power and drama, yet here they were conceiving such powerful imagery through the tops of their imagination. I have yet one person to greatly credit, and that is Rey Bustos. His superb knowledge had set my standards in learning the about anatomy through a structural and loose method. Finding connections, origins and insertions that I found was the definition of human anatomy.

Environmental Color Studies

So as of this morning, I was browsing through some of my fairly old photoshop works and stumbled upon these. Now the reasons for me doing these weren't as so clear at the time that I was creating them. However, I had taken sometime analyzing these pictures with a new perspective. Recently I been given a new insight into looking at relations between values and temperatures. It was quite a thrilling experience getting to find out about things I have otherwise may have not been aware about. I'll get back to this soon.
